Hi, thanks for this work on this module. Testing this right now.
So first off, I was wondering what kind of playlist this supprts. In node http://www.travistidwell.com/node/59 states that there is xml support, I'm guessing for Jeroen Wijering flv player as that has native support for alot of it's functions in xml. So how does one go to implement that without actually without uploading any video's as I am thinking about streaming videos from a vps or even my home (webcam), but would like to let users upload video's as well. I noticed that if the node doesn't have a video, it give you the video error, so any thoughts on this.

It maybe a stupid question but I'm exhausted on learning Drupal so I might be overlooking something very simple.
Perhaps I just need to do [video=someplaylist.xml] or upload the xml file to create a node then [video=node where xml is] but since my eyes are so tired I have to take a break for a few days before I look at it again.
Also, I'm busy with making a new module so I don't have time to work on this to much.
If you take sponsors to start a new option on this module basically I need what I listed but from a gui point of view as I'm not one going to be using it to much.
Here's a list of what I need:
Ability to use Jeroen playlist function - xml or php as he list two proof of concept on his site
To be able to accept streams from a media server and maintain it's core use of uploading and conversion
Jergen flv functions needed that are called from php or xml esp subtitles on srt files - this would be tied into the playlist which if the playlist function worked then it would be the same as adding a line for subs
Will work for drupal 5 & 6
Above should be released back to drupal as new functions or helpers for Flashvideo.
Videoreel - not sure how it works but would buy it if it pulls pics from new flv and on click goes to node., rotate, the usual things
For videoreel, I'll buy it if it does that.
For the features, provide a proof of concept and quote. If it sounds like something that would take you a long time then don't worry about it as I need it by the middle of Jan. and I can just code something out in that case.

Currently the FlashVideo module will do most of everything that you mentioned except for one thing... which is take a custom playlist as a parameter (XML) file and then pass that onto the FlashPlayer. However, I would be able to add this to FlashVideo fairly easily. What would you be willing to sponsor for this addition.
Also, as it is currently, the FlashVideo module will construct the playlist that you are speaking about (XML) format, by taking the File ID's of each of the videos you wish to play. I know it is not very intuitive, but this is what I have right now. For example, if you wish to have a playlist of File ID's 1, 7, and 2 (and in that order), you would simply state [video:fids=1-7-2] and you will then have the videos play in that order. It does this through the XML feature of Jeorens player.
However, adding your custom playlist like you mentioned would be VERY valuable and I believe a lot of people would use it. Again, send me an email using my contact tab and let me know how much you would be willing to sponsor and I can get this to you before the middle of January to be placed in the next code release (which you would get the code before the release to meet your deadline).
And as for your inquiry about VideoReel. I actually designed this to work using Drupal so the things you asked for as far as it using the thumbnail automatically generated by my module and then going to that node, this IS how it works. And as always, if you are not happy with it, I will be more than happy to refund your money.

Hey again, I don't need this anymore since I jjust rolled my own with XSPF Playlist, Swf tools, and flash node as my time table for this project was moved up from over a month to the end of this week and I have other stuff that needs more time then this.
But personally I think I'll use flash video for a personal project so I'll probably get video reel as I don't mind buying it as I would consider it a donation anyhow for saving me some time. Will it be usable on drupal 6 and do you have a demo site set up so I can try out the admin features to see if is something I'd like to purchase.
Also, what is the future feature list and bounty list for flash video as I don't see anything about that but I see alot of request for support.
