Cron on cirtex

Wondering if anyone else using cirtex has trouble getting cron to run.

What syntax are you using for the command?

Thanks in advance,
Ben

I am using Cron with no problems... I believe I share how I did it in my tutorial. Please let me know if this didn't work for you, and maybe I can look into if further.

I started days ago with the exact syntax you show in your tutorial, but it doesnt seem to run.

I've been back and forth with cirtex support a lot about this.

First I was getting permission denied reponse from cron, and they told me to use this syntax: /usr/local/bin/php -q /home/MYACCNT/public_html/cron.php

Then they informed me I cannot be any faster than 1 per hour without a semi-dedicated account. So I changed it to 1 per hour.

Now, they tell me that that cron is running, but when I check the admin:logs:status report:cron maintenance tasks it does not show that it has run. When I point my browser to mysite.com/cron.php it does indeed show on the status report that cron has run.

I'm finding the Cirtex support to be quite unusual. They respond extremely quickly, but not at all accurately. I can tell when a new shift comes on, because now and then the response to my ticket will point me to their flash demo of how to setup a cron task.

Request to be shifted to Level 2 support.... whenever this happened to me in the past, I just requested to be shifted to Level 2 support, and then all of a sudden the support was stellar.

Let me know if this helps.
